PRLog -- Today Bound is announcing the release of "Larkey," an original mystery series by true crime writer and author James Renner. Set in the world of "The Man from Primrose Lane," the first season of Larkey follows retired agent Phil Larkey as he travels to Middle Bass Island on Lake Erie to investigate the murder of a young woman whose body was found crucified on the side of a barn. The island is locked in ice for the winter—and the suspects are trapped there—until the spring thaw. Can he find the killer before the ice melts?

Bound app, available for iOS with an Android version coming soon, combines prose, art, and audio with community features in geeky genres ranging from sci-fi and fantasy to thrillers.
"I've been waiting for someone to figure out how to share new stories in an app," said Renner. "As soon as I heard what Bound was planning I contacted the developers and asked if I could please write something for them. I'm happy to be a part of their experiment and I'm very excited to see what happens next. Book lovers who are just now hearing about this app are in for a treat!"
James Renner is an author, investigative journalist, producer, and director. His true crime stories have been published in the Best American Crime Reporting and Best Creative Nonfiction anthologies. He is the author of two novels, The Man from Primrose Lane and The Great Forgetting, as well as the new nonfiction thriller, True Crime Addict. Renner appeared on a recent episode of Expedition Unknown, where he guided the show's host Josh Gates around Milwaukee in an attempt to find the key Byron Preiss, which was buried in Lake Park in 1982.
Bound debuted earlier this year with exclusive content based on the sci-fi time-traveling novel "The Rise and Fall of D.O.D.O." by Neal Stephenson and Nicole Galland.
